Victorville's unsheltered homeless count falls 68% in two years

City of Victorville: Victorville's unsheltered homeless count fell from 326 in 2024 to 141 in 2025 to 104 in 2026 — a 68% drop over two years, per the San Bernardino County 2026 Point-in-Time Count. Total homelessness (sheltered plus unsheltered) is 441, down from 448 in 2025 and 611 in 2024, the city's lowest count in six years.

Victorville, once the county's second-highest, now ranks third behind San Bernardino and Fontana. City officials credit the 170-bed Wellness Center, which opened December 2023 with funding from a $28 million state Homekey grant and Measure P revenue, and which has graduated 265 clients into permanent housing as of May 7.
