The State opens a third IE location in downtown Riverside

The State, a regional gastropub chain, has opened a third Inland Empire location at 3800 Main St. in downtown Riverside, joining its Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga restaurants and a Monrovia outpost.

The Riverside location carries the format's weekday happy hour, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., along with daily specials — Mule Monday, Taco Tuesday, Whisky Wednesday, Wine Thursday. A speakeasy is planned, matching the hidden bars at the Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga locations, but it has not opened yet.

The open adds another full-service room to a downtown Riverside dining core that has thickened steadily — part of the same pedestrian-density bet that has reshaped the blocks around the Mission Inn and the Fox.
