Mark Muenzer takes over Cathedral City's development department

City of Cathedral City: Cathedral City picked Mark Muenzer as Director of Community & Economic Development, taking over the department Andrew Firestine led before he was sworn in as city manager in February; interim director Sandra Molina is retiring. Muenzer brings 25 years as a department head and development director — including community development posts in Menlo Park, Redwood City, Evanston, and Chicago — and will run planning, building and safety, code compliance, and economic development.
