Jeff Girod takes over as UC Riverside's chief communications and marketing officer

Inside UCR: Girod, named associate vice chancellor and chief communications and marketing officer, starts July 13. An 18-year UCR veteran and alumnus, he led marketing and communications for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, most recently as assistant dean, after a decade with Student Affairs. He takes the seat last held by Johnny Cruz, who left for the University of Arizona in August; John Warren has filled the role on an interim basis since.
