Miranda Evans takes over Riverside's community and economic development department

The Raincross Gazette: Riverside named Miranda Evans its Community and Economic Development Director, making permanent the role she has held on an interim basis since February. She runs the department's five divisions: Building and Safety, Code Enforcement, Economic Development, Planning, and Real Property Services. As interim and earlier as deputy director, she helped recruit six international companies, generating more than 700 jobs and over $142 million in investment, according to the city. She also led the division's bid for Accredited Economic Development Organization status — Riverside is the third organization in California to earn it.
