Geodis lays off 238 at Rialto warehouse as IE freight cuts mount

Patch: France-based Geodis will permanently lay off 238 workers at its Rialto warehouse at 1710 W. Baseline Road by July 3, per the company's WARN filing with California's EDD. The notice was filed April 28.

The cut adds to a contracting IE freight workforce. CJ Logistics laid off 71 at its Fontana facility weeks earlier, and EDD data shows IE trade, transportation, and utilities lost 2,600 jobs from February to March — 2,200 of those in transportation and warehousing alone.
