Whole Foods-anchored Marketplace clears Redlands council
Inland Empire Business Journal: Regency Centers' 71,400-square-foot Marketplace project got unanimous approval from the Redlands City Council on February 17. The 8.18-acre site at the northeast corner of Lugonia Avenue and Tennessee Street will be anchored by a 36,000-square-foot Whole Foods, with four shop buildings and a drive-through pad. KTGY designed the project to LEED Silver standards. Construction is expected to start in late 2026 and finish in 2028.
The site has been long underutilized. The approval lands as two large housing projects nearby — Lugonia Village (541 homes) and Tennessee Village (460 apartments), both approved in 2024 — push residential growth into North Redlands.
