Morongo gives $450K to 111 nonprofits

Morongo Band of Mission Indians: The Morongo Band of Mission Indians awarded nearly $450,000 to 111 nonprofits at its fifth annual Community Outreach Awards luncheon, held May 13 at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon. Each group got up to $5,000, with recipients spanning the San Gorgonio Pass, the Coachella Valley, and cities including Riverside, San Bernardino, and Redlands. The program targets education, healthcare, social services, military families, and Native cultural preservation.

Since launching in 2022, the program has moved more than $1.7 million to over 400 organizations. Morongo says it has given more than $20 million to nonprofits over the past decade.
