Big Bear, on the water and up the mountain

Big Bear Mountain Resort: Snow Summit switches to daily summer operations Friday, June 5 — the Scenic Sky Chair runs to the top for the views, and the mountain opens for lift-served and cross-country biking. Down in the valley, the lake is set for boating and the lakeside boardwalk, and the Big Bear Alpine Zoo rehabs and houses wildlife you can walk through. The Village Wine Walk also returns this month. Kids 4-and-under and seniors 80-plus ride the sky chair free all season.
