SDG&E floats a 144-mile transmission line through Temecula

NBC Los Angeles: San Diego Gas & Electric has proposed the Golden Pacific Powerlink, 144 miles of extra-high-voltage transmission line that would stretch from Temecula through Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and across Riverside and San Diego counties. The proposal is early-stage, but the corridor runs through Temecula, which makes the routing and the eventual permitting fight a southwest Riverside County matter.
