Coachella council faces 1,000-resident revolt against Stronghold data center

NBC Palm Springs: More than 1,000 residents packed a Coachella City Council meeting to oppose a data center tied to Stronghold Power, with the hearing running past five hours. Stronghold executives were asked to leave the room at one point over security concerns.

Water use and environmental harm dominated the public comment. By the end of the night council members were signaling they may want to hit the brakes on the project.
