Binks and Vara head to November for San Bernardino County schools chief

Community Forward Redlands: Cali Binks (37.4%) and Alex Vara (29.8%) advanced to a November runoff for San Bernardino County superintendent of schools, with neither clearing a majority in the four-way field. Sheriff Shannon Dicus won reelection outright at 65.6%, and Rancho Cucamonga council member Ryan Hutchison took the county auditor-controller seat at 56.9%, unseating incumbent Ensen Mason.

In the corridor's Assembly races, AD-50 incumbent Robert Garcia (54.5%) advances against Republican Victoria Viveros Mageno (42.3%), and AD-45 incumbent James Ramos led at 62%. In Congress, Jay Obernolte (CA-23, 58.6%) and Pete Aguilar (CA-33, 51.7%) both advance with second-place challengers set.
