More IE sellers are pulling homes off the market — and relisting them

Redfin: IE sellers pulled 7.3% of April listings off the market without a sale, according to Redfin's analysis of MLS data — up 1.7 points from a year earlier and well above the 5.8% national share, itself the highest since March 2020. The IE also leads on the other side of the cycle: relistings — homes back on the market after at least 31 days delisted in the prior year — made up 3.7% of active listings, up 1.4 points and fifth-highest among the 50 largest metros, behind only San Francisco, San Jose, Boston, and Oakland. Redfin reads the pattern as sellers testing the market, balking at buyer offers, then circling back priced to today's conditions rather than 2021's.
